Green Gingersnap Smoothie

Again, another recipe I cannot take credit for. This is a creation by one Lisa Arends. This really hits the spot, and it tastes EXACTLY like a gingersnap cookie! Plus, the color is gorgeous! (see my pic of my smoothie above)

You can find the original link to the recipe here:

Or, you can view the copy and pasted version of the same smoothie below:

This is an amazing post-workout smoothie with carbohydrates and protein to refuel tired muscles. The spinach and molasses contain lots of energy-building iron and the ginger helps to promote healthy digestion. And the best part of all? It tastes like a gingersnap cookie without the gluten or the guilt!

3-4 ice cubes
1”- 1 ½” ginger, peeled
½ tsp. vanilla
½ banana
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use Vega)
¼ cup raw, unsalted cashews
1 tbsp. blackstrap molasses
2 cups raw spinach
unsweetened vanilla almond milk, enough to blend
Blend all ingredients in a high-powered blender. Pour into a big glass and enjoy!
